Opening Reception Recap of Monster Party 2013 at UGLY Gallery

This past Thursday, Oct. 10, we celebrated the opening of the second annual Monster Party at UGLY Gallery in New Bedford, MA. Children and their parents, artists, and art fans filled the gallery space. There was something for everyone, with monster-themed games, artist-created coloring sheets, face painting, prize bags, and walls lined with spooky artwork from over twenty talented artists. We have to thank everyone who made this event possible - all of the artists, Jeremiah and David of UGLY Gallery, and of course everyone who attended the opening. This event is all about the community and creating a fun, annual get together that all ages can enjoy. The show will remain up for next couple of weeks, so if you missed the opening night, you can still view the monstrous work before the Halloween season is over! View more images here and here.

Monster Party 2013 Install

It has begun! UGLY Gallery is getting a monster makeover as Studio Miners, MCA, and David Guadalupe Jr. work their magic on the space. Over two days, the windows will be painted, artwork hung, games setup and mural painted. Get a taste of the teaser below to see what the October 10 opening has in store for you.

The Monster Party exhibition opening is quickly approaching. Evoker's been busy building large-scale interactive installations and Team Sweet has been wrangling kids to create artwork for the children's gallery and helping them to create monster movies that will be premiered on opening night. In addition to all of our hard work, we are excited to show you some of the artwork from the talented participating artists in the show.
