Studio Gold Recap

Studio Gold has officially opened! We reveled in the amazing artwork of this exhibit with friends, participating artists, and art fans at myplasticheart on Friday, April 16 at the opening reception in NYC. For this exhibit, we loosened up the theme, asking artists to create anything as long as it encompasses a 12" x 12" space, and they all stepped up with solid work across the board. Artwork is available for sale on the mph website and in the gallery at 210 Forsyth St. in NYC. Evoker and mph are also selling the Studio Gold zine, which features most of the artists' studio spaces. The exhibit runs through May 14, so there is still plenty of time to view it in person.

Studio Gold Zine

As part of our upcoming exhibition, Studio Gold, at myplasticheart in NYC (April 16 - May 14) we are releasing a zine of the same name. The zine features the spaces, collections, and objects from Studio Gold exhibiting artists. With over 20 artists included and 11 stickers to sweeten the deal, we are happy to have these available for $10 at myplasticheart and in Evoker's web store. We are constantly fascinated with the studio spaces that artists work in and we think you will be too.

Studio Gold Opens at myplasticheart on April 16

The Studio Miners’ fifth annual exhibit, Studio Gold, opening at myplasticheart on April 16, 2016 features work by over 25 artists from across the country and overseas. The exhibit hearkens back to the roots of the curating duo’s mission – to document the wonderfully exciting world of artists, collectors and creatives of all kinds. For this exhibit, artists were free to create any work, as opposed to following a theme as in previous years, as long as the artwork embodies a 12″ x 12″ space.

In conjunction with the exhibition, a zine of the same name will be released in a limited run at the opening. The zine will give a glimpse at the spaces, collections, and objects artists surround themselves with, offering a look into the every day inspiration and processes of the participating artists.

Featuring the artwork of :
Angry Woebots, Chris Austin, Maret Bondorew, Betso, Brian Butler, Bwana Spoons, Dave the Chimp, Chris RWK, Chula, Mathew Curran, Evoker, Flying Fortress, Ekiem, Kev Grey, Mike Guerrero, Michael C. Hsiung, Aya Kakeda, KaNo, Peter Kato, PhiIip Lumbang, MCA, OBLVN, Podgy Panda, Lou Pimentel, Clams Rockefeller, Smut Villain, Tougui, Mr. Walters
